Last Sunday I had my monthly trip to Seabrook Beach with Beach Cleanup. For two hours, we helped to clean up the beach and while walking along it, talked about life at the Academy. Since it was low tide, it took longer than usual to clean up the beach but we found time afterward to buy some salted caramel hot chocolate from Dunkin’ Donuts. When we were at the beach, we saw two souls brave the water. The surfer was wearing a wetsuit and looked to be pretty warm. The other swimmer was an older man in only swim trunks. He must have been training for the polar bear club because we stuck our hands in the water and could only tolerate it for thirty seconds.
