Pep Assembly/Pep Rally

The Field Hockey Team at E/A Pep Rally

The Field Hockey Team at E/A Pep Rally

Today during assembly, it was “Pep Assembly.” Pep Assembly is always the Friday before Exeter/Andover games (E/a) to pump up school spirit. Red Bandits, who are the school spirit leaders, teach the students cheers, and various groups perform to get everyone hyped up! Precision, which is an all girls step team, performed today. I happen to be in the group, and it was so fun! I’m trying to find a video of it to upload, so hopefully I can post it soon!

Pep Rally happens in the evening from 7-8pm. It starts off at around 6:30 with a huge bonfire. Before we headed to practice, Moxie, aka the girls’ varsity field hockey team, spray painted the wood that was going to be burned beforehand with “Moxie.” Here are some pictures from that.

During Pep Rally, the Red Bandits again teach us more cheers but in between each team who will be competing in the E/a games comes forth and says a little speech or does a skit. There are also various dance groups who perform like Lionettes, Imani, Abs, and Poms. I am in the dance group Poms and again, I will hopefully be uploading a video from that performance shortly! However, there will be live streaming from the games tomorrow, so tune in and see Poms perform at the football half-time. Go Big Red! Here’s a link to the performance. 1:14! http://www.exeter.edu/news_and_events/news_events_15994.aspx
