Back to the Grind

College Flags

Hey all,

Happy New Year! I hope you had wonderful holidays this break.

I just got back to campus on Sunday evening from my winter vacation. Unfortunately, not all of my friends are back due to the huge snowstorm we got. The majority of people are back, but one of my friends might not be back till Thursday! Very unlucky to be missing all of this school, especially if they didn’t bring back their books to do the work.

So far the workload hasn’t been too bad. I got back a lot of my assignments that were due right before winter vacation. One thing that’s coming up is my first CCO (College Counseling Office) meeting! Woo! Haha I’m not really that excited to begin the college process. I’m trying to go into the process with an open and positive mindset so I’m not in the doldrums for the majority of my senior year. I got my college counselor, and hopefully I’ll be all set. College counselors advise you throughout the process. They also give you good insight (about programs, what schools to consider, and scholarships). That’s pretty much the necessary information I need, right?

Aside from this college talk, I have some great things to look forward to as well. Like this term, I’m in the Winter Dance Company and am one of the captains! I am doing warmup tomorrow, which is kind-of nerve-racking but I’m excited to do it. Well, I have to finish some homework for tomorrow, so I’ll talk to you guys later! Welcome back!
