Exeter Jazz Brunch

Happy Valentine’s Day to all!

Today, the school was able to escape the freezing wind today at Elm Street Dining Hall (from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) to enjoy Exeter’s annual Jazz Brunch! Hosted by the Dining Hall Services staff, they prepared a plethora of varying dishes from sweet desserts, to savory sandwiches. The room was colored with pinks and reds, decorated with beautiful Valentine’s Day decorations of hearts and flowers. Food occupied the majority of the space, displayed in a buffet style for a help-yourself type of meal. There were arrays of fruit, different types of french toast and pancakes to choose from, biscuits, cronut sandwiches, chocolate fountains, cotton candy, hot chocolate with whipped cream, chocolate covered popcorn, scones, cookies, macarons, and much more!

Jazz performers, including students, played without respite during the four hours, filling the room with soothing melodies. On the opposite side of the dining hall, students were free to come up and share their thankfulness to one another as they gave compliments to friends, dorms, and faculty.

I’d say it was a great success and a big thank you to everyone who made it possible!
